Special charms at each race venue

Eight days of steeplechase action at six venues extend Virginia's season from mid-September through early November. Each of the six courses has a special charm, a flavor all its own.
Glenwood Park in Middleburg hosted the pre-season action at the Glenwood Races Sept. 14. The rolling, left-handed oval is widely considered one of the very best in the nation: All seats and parking areas have a clear view of all fences on three separate courses, and the innovative irrigation system ensures fresh turf and forgiving ground.
The Glenwood Races, like the Oct. 5 and 6 Virginia Fall Races at Glenwood, are sanctioned by the Virginia Steeplechase Association.
