The Meadowlands in New Jersey. In fact, three world records were broken during the short three-week meet here in 2002. Mac Sorle/s 1:53 2/5-mile broke the record for aged trotters on a greater than one mile track on Oct. 30, while Little Man Fred’s 1:55 2/5 mark four days earlier established a similar record for 4-year-old geldings. The third record setter was Laserlane, whose 1:55 3/5 clocking on Oct. 29 was the best ever on the large oval by a 4-year-old trotting mare.
