Karate classes underivay

Shorin-Ryn Okinawan Karate classes are currently underway at Ki Theatre in Washington. Adult classes are held on Mondays from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and junior classes on Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m. Arthur Drago and Betsy Toth are instructors. For more information call 635-7554 or 349-0632.

Hunter safety courses set

Hunter safety courses will be held in Culpeper and Fauquier this year and Rappahannock residents are encouraged to participate. In Culpeper, classes will be held Sept. 24 and Sept. 25 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. and on Nov.5 and 6 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and all day on Nov. 9 beginning at 8 a.m. For additional information, location and to pre-register call John Dodson at 5432070.

In Fauquier classes will be held at the Warrenton Police Training Center on Carriage House Lane on Oct. 12 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Oct. 13 from noon to 4 p.m. and Nov. 9 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Nov. 10 from noon to 4 p.m. The class is open to the first 65 people and again contact Mr. Dodson.

Clinic will be open Oct. 2

The Rappahannock Free Clinic, a local operation of the Fauquier Free Clinic Inc., is currently open on the first, third and fifth Wednesdays of each month. The clinic will be open Wednesday, Oct. 2 and not again until Oct. 16. Patient registration is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock Public Health Department Building. The sixth annual Rappahannock RoughRide to benefit the Fauquier County Free Clinic and the Rappahannock County Free Clinic in Washington will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21 For more information call 347y2D0394.

CCA to host concert program

On Sunday, Sept. 22 at 3 p.m., the famed Duquesne University Tamburitzans will perform colorful dances and songs of Eastern Europe and beyond at Culpeper County Hiqh School. Admission is by subscription to the Community Concert Association season of six attractions or a few single event tickets are available at the door.
