Wayland GROUND BREAKING: The Rappahannock National Bank hosted a ground breaking ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 12 at the new site located at 12704 Lee Highway, Washington. On hand for the ceremony, left to right, Steve Rogers from Dayton and Thompson Architectural Firm, Ken Miller from Miller Brothers Construction, Director Alphaeus Cannon, CEO Michael T. Leake, Director Bet Jones. Other directors, bank officials from Union Bankshares and Rappahannock National, and community members shared in the celebration. The new building should be complete by June 2003.
