Al Anon meeting scheduled
Al Anon meetings are currently scheduled for every Thursday evening at 8:30 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church. AA meetings are also scheduled for the same time. For additional information call Gary at 987-7278.
Risk Management program set
Virginia Cooperative Extension and Virginia Farm Bureau are sponsoring a Risk Management in Agriculture program on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at Graves Mountain lodge in Syria. The program will begin with dinner at 6 p.m. Virginia Farm Bureau will sponsor the meal.
Chris Cook and/or Jonah Bowles from Virginia Farm Bureau will speak on Strategies to Consider in Reducing Risk in Agriculture. More specifically this dinner presentation meeting is designed to highlight some of the risks confronting the Virginia producer today. ■ NAACPplans Culture Day
The Culpeper Branch of the NAACP will host African American Culture Day on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on East Davis Street, Culpeper. There will be information booths, a marketplace, raffle prizes, food and fun for all ages. The proceeds support scholarships for youth in the community. Dreamtime Garden Tour set
A Dreamtime Garden Tour will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21 which coincides with a full moon and Autumn Equinox from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This time it's the "Backyard Medicines Tour”, which will be of the gardens surrounding the school.
