And although I have asked for no news coverage, it is perhaps newsworthy that a congressional candidate is coming from a small county like ours, taking on the Richmond power structure, which by the way is actively supporting Cantor on the editorial pages of the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
Paul Hagstrom sarcastically comments, “Eric Cantor and I are on our way over to Cooter’s in Sperryville to see if Hillary Rodham Clinton is actually going to show up for Ben Jones’ fund raiser tonight at Cooter’s Place.” Well, you know what? We don’t do fund raisers there, but all would be welcome, including Ms. Clinton and Mr. Cantor. In fact, Mr. Cantor might schedule a debate while he is there. And Mr. Hagstrom would find that Cooter’s is filled with those “God fearing, patriotic, hard working folks of the 7th District.” I’ll be happy to introduce Mr. Cantor to them.
