in Culpeper County. One, near Clevenger’s Comer, is owned by the South Wales Investment Corporation and serves the South Wales subdivision and the South Wales Golf Club. It has a capacity of 70.000 gallons per day, and currently processes about 50.000 gallons per day, with its treated effluent being discharged into Rappahannock River.
In order to discharge effluent into a river or stream, a Virginia Pollution Discharge Elimination System (VPDES) permit is required, renewable every five years.
