The Middleburg Tennis Club will be the site for Friday evening’s activities. Although it is mainly by invitation, if you are interested in a reservation, call the school (6358555). Reserved seats will be on an “as available” basis. Including wine and a cocktail buffet, this night will feature auctions (silent and live) of collaborative class works and juried, individual student pieces, all professionally framed.
In addition, our local artworld notables, such as Mary Brownstein, Jeanne Drevas, Geneva Welch, Barbara Sherwood, Steven Kenny, Robin Purnell, Tom Mullany, Sandra Forbush, Chris Stephens, Nora Harrington and over a dozen others will show and sell their work.
Saturday’s daytime agenda, conceived of as a “Holiday Festival”, will take place in WCDS’s auditorium, where the professional artists’ sale will continue, along with more student works for sale and display. Caroling, face painting, ornament decorating, a bake sale, and an appearance by Santa Claus will all be part of the fun.
