The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board invites persons 60 years of age and older to participate in the following Health Promotion/Screening Programs to be held at the Rappahannock Senior Nutrition Center.
On Dec. 12 at 1 p.m., there will be a program on Stress and Relaxation Breathing by Karen Gerndt; on Dec. 18 at 1 p.m. Cheryll Green of the Health Department will present a program on Mind/Body Connection and on Dec. 31 at 1 p.m. Jerry Wood, Rite Aid Pharmacist will present a program on Medication Management.

Reiki offered at Healing A rts
Reiki I and II Intensive with Kathy Edwards will be offered on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 7 and 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Rappahannock Healing Arts Center.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. The class is a combination of lecture, discussion and experience. Practice time includes giving and receiving a complete Reiki treatment using all the hand positions, practicing self treatment, scanning others, using the Second Degree symbols and sending Reiki to others at a distance. Holiday bazaar planned
Rappahannock residents are invited to the Luray Rescue Squad Christmas bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The bazaar will be held at the Rescue building and all benefits will go directly to the squad.
Former artist to exhibit
Former Middle Street gallery artist Lynnette Nicholas will exhibit recent watercolors at the Bocce Cafe in Scottsville during the month of December. Ms. Nicholas mixes complementary colors, applying,layer upon layer to create depth and dimension, distinguishing her from most watercolorists today. An artist's reception will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 3 to 5 p.m. The public is invited.
