the families of Wakefield who helped make the Key Club’s Annual Canned Food Drive a success. Each class at WCDS, Pre-School through Twelfth, collected canned food to give to the area food banks for the holidays. Boxes were placed in the classrooms, and several were filled to the top! Great job, sixth graders! Mrs. Lisa Ramey, sixth grade teacher, led the day with the most food collected. The tenth grade was hot on her heels, though, with a bulging box of their own. Thanks go out to all who so unselfishly participated — it could be just what several families need this month!
• The month of December is a busy month for everyone, and it is the same for the students at Wakefield. Exams are only two weeks away, and with the Book Fair and Sarah’s Supper this week, the students will be hard pressed to find downtime.
• The Book Fair, which is an annual event, is fun for the Lower School students, and it turns out to be helpful for the parents, as well.
