Santa in Flint Hill

Santa will be at the Horse N Hound at 667 Zachary Taylor Highway in Flint Hill on Saturday. Dec. 7 from noon to 2 p.m. Free pictures with Santa will be available and pets are also welcome. For more information call 675-1650.

Soccer League Board to meet

The Rappahannock Soccer League will hold a Board meeting this Sunday, Dec. 8 at 5 p.m. in the RCES cafeteria. All interested in attending are invited.'

Hikes scheduled

The second Saturday hike series will continue on Saturday, Dec. 14. The hike up Big Devils Stairs is considered moderate-to-difficult. Those interested should meet at Mountainside Market. 987-9100 on US 211, west of Sperryville by 8:30 a.m. Bring nourishment for self and layerable clothing according to the weather of the day. The moon is full on Dec. 18 and a full moon hike will be planned. Dates are likely to be scheduled between Dec. 15 and Dec. 19. There will probably be St least two hikes during that span, and possibly an intensive hike-run. Input and interest are welcomed. Contact Hunt at 987-3366.

Bazaar, bake sale planned

Epiphany P.T.O. is having its annual Christmas crafters' bazaar and bake sale on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Precious Blood Church. Poinsettias, fresh wreaths and many holiday decorations and gifts will be sold. Lunch will also be available.

Authors Rosemarie Gortler and Donna Piscitelli will be signing copies of their book “Little Acts of Grace". All proceeds from the book sales go to charity. Bring your non-perishable food donations to benefits the Culpeper Food Closet and get your picture taken with Santa Claus. New this year, drop off the children at the Children's Holiday Shop where “elves" will help them select that perfect gift for family and friends while you shop!

Studio open house, sale set

Jeanne Drevas is having her annual studio open house and sale on Dec. 7 and 8 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The studio and work will also be available Friday, Dec. 6 and Monday Dec. 9 by appointment. Cider and cookies will be available as customers shop in the county from Drevas’ newest pots and work made from natural material. For additional information or directions call 987-3113.
