The Town of Washington’s plans to dispose of effluent from their proposed wastewater treatment plant in the Rush River dominated discussion at Monday’s Rappahannock Board of Supervisors meeting.
County residents who live outside Washington but along the Rush River asked the board to intervene and encourage Washington to pursue other alternatives.
“I don’t live in town, but these issues . are my issues,” said Ellie Clark, who lives along the Rush on Tiger Valley Lane.
This issue could represent a jurisdictional conflict for Washington and the county. Washington is Rappahannock’s only incorporated town,
