Solutions, the construction consortium, and limit any expansion of 1-81 to one lane, except at traffic choke points, all nontoll. The resolution was copatroned by fellow Delegates from Winchester in the north all the way down 1-81 to deep southwest Virginia.
Since I introduced the resolution, folks from the Valley, operating as Reasonable Solutions for 1-81; railroad buffs; the Virginia Manufacturers Association; Virginia Trucking Association; the Virginia Poultry Federation and others have given me their ideas on how the resolution can be strengthened; I have been particularly impressed by the changes offered by those who support the aptly named Reasonable Solutions for 1-81, and will probably try to amend it with some of their language.
