tually unbends enough to love Griff. However, both the old boyfriend of Jean’s and “the bear” return to cause much havoc. While the unfinished life in the’ title at first seems to refer to Einar’s dead son, we sooty realize that the death has' put Einar, Jean, Mitch and Griff all on hold. Until they deal with it, they can’t get on with their fives. How they deal with it is sincere and the actors are convincing.
“An Unfinished Life,” directed by Lasse Hallstrom, (“The Cider House Rules”) is poignant and well acted an$" offers heartfelt moments leavened by subtle humoi;' The film is rated PG-13 fop some violence, including domestic abuse and profanity. Run time is 100 minutes.
