But then Tommi would have wanted it that way. He wasn’t in business for the money but for the pleasure he got from being around people and helping them. Tommi started feeling bad two weeks ago and although he knew it was his heart, he just .old everybody he had a virus. No one knew what was really going on. Tommi wouldn’t let anyone know. He was that private a person.
The day before he died Tommi was back at work. “I didn’t know I had so many friends,” he told me when I came in to check on him. “You know I got 17 calls yesterday afternoon.” Eighteen hours later he was dead. The area music world was stunned. His death hit many of us hard. Tommi was one of those people you think will be there forever. Tommi Reynolds was a good friend and a good musician. Culpeper will miss him.
