Tuesday afternoon, Glier addressed the opposition to their project.
“There has been a campaign of many of the neighbors who don’t want to see children on that road. Unfortunately they feel it is a bad location and we feel its an ideal location. We do feel we have been misunderstood and in some cases misrepresented.
We will do our best to demonstrate to our neighbors and the county administrators that we will be a good neighbor and an asset to the community,” said Glier.
Amy Midkiff of Dearing Road, one of the neighbors who has posted a sign opposing the new farm school location, explained her objections to the Rappahannock News. Clarifying that she is speaking only for herself, Midkiff said “It’s not that we oppose the school itself. It’s the location. It’s down in a hollow,” Midkiff elaborated.
