“She’s learning to navigate on her own,” said a teary-eyed Shelly Dodson.
The Dodsons admit that all of this has been a strain on them personally and as a couple but it has given them a unique perspective on life. ,
“When you see the progress, you have hope,” said Greg Dodson. “Hope that she’ll have the best life that we can give her.”
“We wouldn’t have gotten this far if it weren’t for the generous support of this community,” said Shelly Dodson. “They have been with us since the beginning.”
On April 1, there will be a fundraiser for Sidney Dodson held at the Flint Hill Fire Department. All proceeds will benefit the Sidney Dodson Cerebral Palsy Fund.
