Tupper, Christina Naramore and Katie Burke. The trio, all of whom earned second team district honors, serve as team captains.
Tupper, who will spend substantial time on the mound, pitched the Lady Panthers over Luray, 2-0, and Warren County, 16-3. Against Warren County, she went four innings, striking out seven and giving up only four hits. She also had a pair of hits, including a double, and an RBI.
Naramore returns as Rappahannock’s catcher. Her three hits and four RBI powered the Panthers’ offense against Warren County. Burke anchors the infield from her first base spot. She had a pair of hits and two RBI in the 16-3 win over Warren County.
Across the diamond is sophomore Noel Johns, who returns at third. Up the middle are two freshmen, Emily Carter at short and Amanda Smoot at second. Smoot also pitches for the Lady Panthers. In the win over Warren County, she tossed the final three innings and also helped the cause with three hits, including a home run and four RBI.
The outfield includes senior Ashleigh Lamma in left, freshman Sarah Smoot in center and junior Jessica Lee in right. Lee had an RBI single in leading Rappahannock over Luray.
Rounding out the roster are sophomore Elvira Yanez and freshmen player-managers Kara Corbin and Megan Edwards.
