Mary Frances Chadwell, 86, of Front Royal died Sunday, March 19 in Front Royal.
Mrs. Chadwell was bom October 23, 1919 in Rappahannock, County, daughter of Benjamin and Bertha Burke Hawkins.
She was a member of Five Iforks Regular Baptist Church in Woodville and attended the Front Royal. Baptist Temple and the Rivermont Baptist Church. She was a member of the Jolly 60s in Front Royal. She was married to the late Shirley Chadwell, Jr.
Mrs. Chadwell is survived by a son, Shirley Chadwell, Jr. of Front Royal and his wife, Judy, a sister, Ertha Corbin of Flint Hill, and four grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and five greatgrandchildren and seven step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond Hawkins, Otis Hawkins and Milton Hawkins.
A funeral service was held Thursday at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Elder Roger Smith, Reverend Jerry Young and Reverend Danny Clegg, Jr. Interment followed at Panorama Memorial Gardens.
