Taylor can play the tuba
The Marching Virginians, Virginia Tech’s marching band of Blacksburg, Va., consists of 330 students. They held their annual “BAND”QUET in January. Following the meal, Rank Captains, representing each section of the band, presented awards to the musicians best demonstrating hard work, dedication to learning the music and overall improvement. In the tuba section, Rank #57, Brian Taylor was selected as Outstanding Rank Member for 2005. This is Taylor’s first year as a Marching Virginian. There were 24 tuba players trying out. He made the audition and has enjoyed band on the college level very much. The Marching Virginians is Virginia Tech’s marching band that plays for the football games. They also travel and do exhibition shows. Brian is the son of Tom and Cheryl Taylor of Old Hollow, Sperryville.
