NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND CHAPTER 151, TAXATION, ARTICLE XH, TAX RELIEF FOR THE ELDERLY AND DISABLED, OF THE RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY CODE
The Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County proposes to adopt an ordinance amending Chapter 151, Article XII of the Rappahannock County Code, dealing with Tax Relief for the Elderly and Disabled, which amendment shall change §151-50 D. to read as follows (deleted language struck through; new language underlined):
D. The net combined financial worth, including equitable
interests, as of December 31 of the immediately preceding calendar
year, of the owners, and of the spouse of any owner,
excluding the value of the dwelling, all furnishings therein, and
the land not exceeding one three acres upon which it is situated,
shall not exceed $100,000 $150.000.
The proposed amendments shall have the effect of expanding eligibility for the current program. A public hearing on the proposed ordinance shall be held at 7:00 PM on 3 April 2006 in the Rappahannock County Courthouse on Gay Street in Washington, Virginia.
