Effective September 15 of that year, the Front Royal and Washington Motor Transportation Company announced a schedule of bus service connecting Rappahannock County with the railroad in Front Royal. A review of that announcement indicates that one could get from Rappahannock County to ‘Morrow' or anyplace else on the map by catching a “modem and up-to-date Pneumatic-Tired Motor bus holding from 15 to 20 passengers” at Little Washington at either 6:00 a.m. or 4:00 p.m. The fare: Little Washington to Front Royal, $.90 oneway, $1.44 RT. The transit time: one to one and a half hours.
