It s not the nice bass or the big pike, not the above average crappie, but the 8 inch brook trout. Most people, it seems, are not as prone to fishing and hunting as generations past and their idea of a mounted fish is usually some huge monster, a remembrance of the mighty struggle for both angler and fish.

This trout doesn’t deliver on their expectations and always begs the question, “Why did you mount this little fish?” “Little,” being relative, this is a deceht sized trout and not one to be ashamed of. Especially for the young boy with a bobber, hook and the spin cast reel he found protruding from his Easter basket.
