A group of teachers and former teachers from the high school entertained her with a retirement luncheon on Friday, July 20, at the Public House in Flint Hill.
Food Services Director Brenda Payne hosted a luncheon in Marie's honor at her home on Tuesday, July 17, where Marie was presented with a Bulova watch from Brenda and her co-workers.
Marie has been writing the Boston column for the Rappahannock News for over 30 years, starting when longtime resident Sarah I^atham was the editor.
“Now that time clock days are over, 1 plan to do more for my church, visit and travel some, and as some people would say “keep Verizon alive,” said Marie.
