The young ones will spend just twenty four hours on a trip to Harrisonburg, to be spayed at the Shenandoah Valley Spay and Neuter Clinic, under a new program of RAWL, the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League. Each month, RAWL arranges for cats and dogs to make the trip to be spayed and neutered at severely reduced prices. Owners need to call the shelter at 540-937-3283 any morning of the week to make reservations. The next spay/neuter trip is October 2. Paperwork for that trip must be completed by September 24 so please make arrangements early.
