The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community brings back their Friday Night at the Ricks. Tonight's presentation is The Queen” starting at 8 p.m. at The Theatre in Washington. The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter of the NSDAR meeting will be held Saturday, Sept 8 starting at 11 a.m. at the
Nikos Restaurant at the Best Western Culpeper Inn located at Business Route 29 South, Culpeper.
The guest speaker will be Admiral John Marocchi, Ret, U.S. Navy. His topic: "New Developments at the VA WAR Memorial in Richmond.” Cost $12 per person: Reservations must be in by September 4. Sept 9: Historical Sampler
The Rappahannock Historical Society will be hosting its Annual Meeting and fund raiser at Montpelier, which was the stately, colonial home of the Thornton family of Rappahannock County. Built circa 1746. this historic treasure has a wealth of history attached to it dating from the Colonial Period of our County. Please join us for a glimpse of the past complete with tours of the mansion, living history demonstrations and music, raffles and a vanety of tasty finger foods. This event will be held on September 9, from 1 p. m. to 5 p. m.
