move back to Virginia when parents Wayne and Dot Waller bought Mountain Jack’s bakery and offered to let the couple set up their own business. They first opened their retail space in what is now Rudy’s Pizzeria, but consolidated the retail space and the bakery in January of 2006. They made improvements to the building and also constructed a deck overlooking the Thornton River. This has become a favorite spot not only for those indulging in breakfast biscuits, but also for those summer evening performances of local musicians, and once by a lively professional Turkish musician! These fun evenings on the deck featured music and" Turkish or Italian dinner specials.
