Berlin N. Frye

Berlin N. “Buzz” Frye, 84, if Mount Jackson died August 18 in Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. Frye was bom Feb. 23, 1923 in Mount Jackson and was the son of the late Walter Franklin and Mollie Showman Frye.

He served in the civilian conservation corps prior to his military service. He served in the United States Army during WW II., was a member of American Legion Post 166 in New Market and was owner of Fry’s Body Shop and used car sales for 54 years.

Mr. Frye was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Mount Jackson.

He is survived by his wife, Dollie Dodson Frye, a daughter, Margaret (Nook) Frye, four sons, Tommy Frye and wife, Jackie of New Market, Charlie Frye and wife Barbara of Edinburg, and Dwight (Ike) and wife, Robin of Washington.

Additional survivors include three sisters, Geraldine Hawkins of Roanoke, VA., Catherine Lofton and Berkley Rau both of Woodstock, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Frye was preceded in death by one son, William Frye
