Scott was born in Cumberland. MD on February 14. 1967. He was raised in
Keyser, WV and graduated from Keyser High School in 1985. where he was an active member of the marching band and tennis team. He received his Associate of Arts degree from Potomac State College He then graduated Magna Cum Laude from West Virginia University, where he received his Bachelor's Degree tn Mathematics and later his Master's Degree Since graduation from WVU. he was employed for 18 years as an educator tn Frederick County. MD. teaching middle school and later high school math, most recently at Urbana High School. Beyond the classroom, he served the school and his students in many ways including Department Chair and co-sponsor of the senior class. He touched many lives as a teacher, mentor, coworker, and friend. Scott will forever be remembered by all who knew him as a person who inspired those around him to approach life with a positive attitude. We have all been blessed to have such a wonderful and selfless person in our lives. He will live on in our memories forever as someone whose approach to life and personal character serve as an example to all.
A memorial service to celebrate Scon's life was held Tuesday. August 21st at 11:00 am. at the Frederick Presbyterian Church. 2nd Street. Frederick. MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Crohns and Colitus Foundation of America 17th Floor, 386 Park Ave. South. New York. NY 10016.
