Committee included Beverly Atkins, Jan Palmer, Sandra Jenkins, Marie Davis, Ester Settle, Jan Makela, and Larry Grove and Jim Blubaugh of the Lions Club.
As in past years, Charlotte Turameyer and Geneva Welch provided “face painting” and creative tattoos for the kids. Captain Jeff Brown was there with his snow machine and Howard Massey and sons provided the always popular cotton candy for which everyone lined up. Very danceable, “Rockabilly” music was the gift of Blues Fuze band. And Kathy Gangel was active as always with her camera taking pictures for “Rappahannock Nights” growing scrapbooks of these events.
In addition, there were numerous Rappahannock restaurants and others that provided food and other services to make the evening the fun event it was. They include Rae’s, The Flint Hill Public House, Papa John’s Pizza, Melting Pot, Marie Davis, Muskrat Haven Farm, The Country Cafe, Griffin Tavern, F. T. Valley Grocery, Sperryville Corner Store, Ron and Jan Makela, Sandra Jenkins, Washington Baptist Church, Elaine Hix, Kaitlyn Jenkins, Ellen Mustoe, Settle’s Grocery, Settle’s Cars and Trucks, Arland Welch, Libby Bennett, Linda Baldwin, The Inn at Little Washington Rappahannock Lions' Club, Persimmon Springs Florist (Donna Brunei, Dorothy Hackley, Martin’s Foods, Josh Makela, BB & T Bank at Flint Hill David & Lisa Jones, Andrew Kohler, Doris Fowler, Leon Hackley, and anonymous donors. And one would never forget those many volunteers who cooked the food, put up the decorations, and policed the site after the party—many from the Rappahannock Lions Club.
