A funeral was held Wednesday, August 22, in the chapel at Dellinger Funeral Home, with Rev. Scott Paradise officiating.
Burial was in the Mount Jackson Cemetery.
Pallbearers were D. J. Frye, C. J. Frye, Jason Frye, Gerald Emerick, Allen Dodson and Ray Dodson.

Phyllis Keyser Atkins, 61, of Culpeper, died Friday, August 17, at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va.
She was born August 9, 1946 in Front Royal, Va., to Donald Leroy Keyser and the late Nellie Mae Mitchell.
Mrs. Atkins was a devoted wife and mother who was known for her outgoing spirit and the can-do attitude with which she fought her long battle with cancer. She loved the outdoors and her home, and she always looked out for the underdog.
Including her father Donald L. Keyser, she is survived by her husband of 38 years, John M. Atkins, two sons, Duane Eddie Atkins and his wife, Rebecca, and Darrell Marshall Atkins and his partner, Ryan, and a daughter, Daphne Dawn Archilla, and her husband, Juan.
