The Loudoun Hone Association will host its second annual trail ride thia Saturday, Aug. 25, an the Evergreen Mills Equestrian Trail south of Leesburg. The 1 1/2-hour ride begins at 5 pan. Light refreshments will follow the ride. The cost to non-LHA members is $5; new and prospective members are encouraged to attend and join.
The Loudoun Horse Association was established in 2006 to serve as a resource for local horse owners, professionals and equine industry service providers. The club’s goal is to improve communication and cooperation among the many equestrian disciplines in Loudoun County provide information about equestrian activities, and assist in the development of public infrastructure to meet the needs of the Loudoun horse community.

Brandy Station
battle route ride
The Culpeper Horse Owners Association will host a trail ride from Brandy Station to Mountain Run Battlefield in Stevensburg this Sunday, Aug. 26, starting at 10 am. The route is eight miles round-trip, and includes lots of paved roads; shoes are recommended.
After the ride, a historian will lecture on the Battle of Mountain Run and Capt Farley's death. Farley was a spy for cavalry commander Jeb Stuart Bring your awn lunch.
