Yard sale experts

Mary O’Meara and Barbara Adolfi give the “sitting test” to some of the many furniture items donated for the big RCDC sale this Saturday. If you remember the Democratic Committee fund-raising sales of recent years, you know that it is not only one of the largest sales in this region of Virginia, but it also features some amazing bargains: items selling for five and ten percent of their value. There are far too many items to list; even trying to enumerate the categories is not possible. We do have a large assortment of books this year to go along with just about everything that goes in a house, garage, yard, workshop, or vehicle. Special note: the popular Collector’s Corner and International Boutique will be open again this year, featuring fine, upscale items not usually found at yard sales. Make a note to be at the Washington Fire Hall this Saturday starting at 8 a.m. and going until 2 p.m. for these once-a-year bargains.
