Hospice of the
Rapidan to offer
free training
Hospice volunteers provide compassion and caring for terminally ill patients and family members who care for them. Most volunteers find the experience to be more rewarding than they ever expected and often feel they get as much out of it as do those they help care for. Hospice of the Rapidan periodically offers free training for people interested in becoming volunteers and has scheduled its next training program beginning Monday September 10. This is a comprehensive program for people interested in volunteering with patients and their caregivers, and consists of a total of 21 hours, in seven 3 hour sessions. Training will take place at the Orange County Nursing Home; 120 Dogwood Lane, Orange from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Mondays and Wednesday’s beginning Monday, September 10 and ending on Monday, October 3. There will be no class on Wednesday September 19. No prior experience is
