Sept. 3/4: Apple Hill

Bakery will be closing

“It's been a wonderful ride,” said Eileen Yilmaz as she announced the anticipated closing of Apple HHI Bakery in Sperryville. They will be open through September 3, Labor Day. According to Yilmaz, “if there is inventory left” they will be open on Tuesday, September 4, as well with items 50 percent off that day. Stop by for that last blackberry tart! Sept. 5: Rappahannock Nonprofit

Center Networking luncheon

The Rappahannock Nonprofit Center Networking Luncheon Series will resume on the first Wednesday of the month starting in September. The first luncheon will be held on Wednesday, September 5 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Nonprofit Center located at the Sperryville School house below. Antique Tables Made Daily. This luncheon series is to provide nonprofits an opportunity to network, discuss concerns and issues they are facing and to share information and resources they have found to be helpful. Sept. 5: AARP Driver Safety

Program

An 8-hour classroom refresher course designed for those 50 and over will be offered at foe Willis Chapel United Methodist Church, 1804 Zachery Taylor Hwy, Huntly, VA on Wednesday, September 5 from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Those completing this 8-hour course will receive a certificate, which should reduce auto insurance costs. NO Exams. The cost is $10.00 (to cover foe costs of materials). Class size is limited. All drivers should bring their drivers license to class.
