Twenty-eight students this week cut short their summer vacations and signed up for 'college boot camp.” a project rA the Next Step program that Hope directs.
“This is stuff that private schools get,” Hope said. “I believe that our kids are every bit as smart and every bit as deserving.”
The classes run through today, meeting from 10 a_m. to 3 p.m., and are open to high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. Topics include picking a school, SAT preparation, navigating financial aid and writing application essays.
Rappahannock County High School student Stephanie Sine is happy to get a head start.
