The girl scout float was n£w this year and beyond adorable. All these brightly clad little girls huddled in a wagon with strings of cookie boxes and holiday ornaments creating one of the most festive entries to date. There were also lots of moms with trays of cookies. Thank you!
Wakefield Country Day School was represented with a charming host of children pined by headmistress Kathleen Grove.
A group was there from Rose H»H Veterinary with a cast of animals includ- - ing two very large but seemingly very sweet bulls.
Another new entry this year came from the staff at The Inn at Little Washington who sported brilliant feathered masks. The float was quite exquisite with royal blue ribboned spires and greenery. -
The 4-H Tally Ho Club was led by Kim Nelson over at The Hair Gallery with her faithful chestnut steed and Bob Compton had no problem mustering several antique tractors. They were a huge hit along with the Raggedy Ann Fire Engine from Amissville.
Santa’s fire engine went out on a call at the last minute but Santa’s known for his ability to act quickly and improvise so the children were not disappointed as he rode into town on another one. Way to go Santa!
Flint Hill sent some of their royalty to ride in the parade and those girls had the wave and smiles down. They were chilly but (dr so charming.
John Clark once again supplied the large trailer for the staff at the Rappahannock News and supervisor Bryant Lee did the honors of towing that wild grou p again. Artisan Markets and more
