dilemma
December is rolling in with a mixed bag of
news. Mayhugh’s was smashed over the
weekend. Last Friday a weekender’s house burned to the ground.
Dr. Bob Chappell and others in the school administration met with Del. Todd Gilbert about introducing legislation to ease the burden on Rappahannock’s schools.
A few more acres have gone into easement and easement watcher Bob Dennis has crafted a hefty piece on the potential impacts if Dominion is successful in their quest to build more power lines through Rappahannock.
Realtor and resident Rick Kohler has created a little jingle to the tune of Cheek to Cheek which will no doubt amuse many and perhaps his advocacy to oppose the power lines will spread.
While not in Rappahannock, nearby Oasis Vineyard has a new owner and the Falcon Crest saga is quiet for the moment with Tareq Salahi still in charge thanks to a McLean realtor.
Lea Vittitow held a successful gathering last Monday to talk about senior housing needs in the county.
