This past Sunday I stopped by Gray Ghost to check out their holiday open house. I am always impressed at the warm welcbme I get when I walk into their winery and Sunday was no exception. The day may have been cold and blustery but I was soon feeling warmed by the friendliness and, of course, by their excellent wines. While the food and the wines were wonderful I was especially impressed by the cork creations. A1 Kellert clearly has hidden artistic talents. He’s created a Christmas wonderland made entirely out of wine corks. There’s a snowman, a huge Christmas tree, a sleigh pulled by reindeer, a candelabra and this year’s new addition, Santa’s workshop. Each year guests are invited to guess how many corks were used in the creation of the latest work. The winner gets to take home some wonderftil Gray Ghost wine. I have no idea how many corks went into making Santa’s Workshop but I know for sure
