five Amissville churches, the Fire Department, the Ruritans, the Girl Scouts and many local businesses. Last year they distributed about 25 baskets of food, 30 fruit baskets and 60 flowers. It’s a pretty impressive achievement! Right now you can donate food by taking it to local retail establishments and dropping it off. Or, if you’d hke to donate money you can send a check to Nancy Nichols, 8 Carter Lane, Amissville. Checks should be made payable to Amissville Christmas Baskets. The last day to donate money and food is December 19. Deliveries will be made on December 21. I’m so glad to see neighbors taking care of each other. It makes you proud to be living here in Amissville!
