Wakefield’s Art from the Heart was another success as was this past weekend’s Christmas in Little Washington.
While tourism in the town is encouraged and supported, when it does happen there are always a few unhappy souls who cannot find a place to park. Fortunately just about everyone was in a merry mood and there were even remarks that this town’s event had a more “authentic” ring to it than the parade in Middleburg - that’s hard to top!
Volunteerism should be vaulted to new heights as many from the town helped with this past weekend’s event. WTiether a large or small part was played, it was all greatly appreciated and noticed.
“This town sure has spirit,” said one.
Mixed bags of news are like tapestries - they may seem all knotty with lose threads and a mish mash of meaning on one side but taken all together, the overall effect is a perfectly woven design on the other.
Let’s take December in stride - the good with the bad - and prepare to celebrate this special time of year.
