PUBLIC HEARING PROPOSING TO AMEND THE RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY CODE CHAPTER 170, ZONING, RELATING TO TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITY EXEMPTIONS FROM REGULATION The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors shall hold a public hearing on Monday, January 7, 2008, at 7:00PM at the Courthouse in Washington, Virginia, to consider the following amendment to the Zoning Chapter of the Rappahannock County Code: Amend Chapter 170 “Zoning" of the Rappahannock County Code, as follows: Amend §170-12 Exemptions, by adding a new section B. to reed as fofiowa, and re teteerinfl the existing section B. as “C.": B. Exempted from the provisions of this chapter is any and aM equipment for the transmission and reception of wireless broadband internet hosed communication services, when such ' " equipment is installed on property owned by a subscriber to such services, and when such equipment is mounted on existing structures or on single wooden utility poles which project no more then eighty (80) feet above existing grade. The antenna, reception and transmitter equipment exempted may only be used for the subscriber's recaption, distribution or relay or for reception, dtetribudon or relay to other subscribers hi Rappahannock County or immedieteiy adjacent counties, to no case shaH this exemption apply to microwave or other transmission of signal for end users in jurisdictions not immediately adjacent to Rappahannock Countyi This proposed amendment shall be considered by the Rappahannock County Planning Commission at a public hearing to be held on Wednesday December 19, 2007 at 7:30PM at the Courthouse in Washington, Virginia All interested persons are invited to attend and to make comment on this amendment or to mail such comments to the County Administration and Zoning office, PO Box 519, Washington.
