news last week and we know all about him! Lee Settle, son of Bubby Settle of Flint Hill and Terri Brooks of Chester Gap was named an Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer of the Year by the Warrenton Ruritan Chib. Settle is a Deputy Sheriff in Fauquier County. He was recognized for being a “top producer in many categories” and for his top notch, error free reports. He is an excellent role model for young people, a helpful coworker, and a truly devoted public servant. Lee takes much {Hide in his job and makes Fauquier County a safe place to live and work. Residents of Flint Hill feel a little safer too, knowing Lee is around. We are proud of you, Lee!
It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Flint Hill UMC is preparing a wonderful gift for the community - a Christmas Program, which will be offered Sunday Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. The children will perform the Christmas story and the congregation will help by singing carols. There will be refreshments and perhaps a visit by a fellow dressed in red!
The three churches on the Rappahannock Charge are busy planning for the annual Living Nativity. This has been a seasonal highlight for church and community for at least 30 years and will be held Dec. 15.
