Burglary at Long

View Gallery

Several expensive items were stolen from the Long View Gallery during the evening of Nov. 28. The owners of the gallery, which is located on Main Street in Sperryville, were not home during the incident.

The person or persons responsible for the crime seem to have gained entry to the building by removing an airconditioning unit from a ground-floor window, Rappahannock County Sheriff Larry Sherertz said.

Long View’s owners Andrew Haley and Suzanne Zylonis were away from the property between 6 and 10 p.m. during the day of the incident, Haley said. They returned from a party to find that things were missing from the art gallery.
