Sylvia Ann (Smedley) Hargrove, 68, of Zanesville, Ohio, died Sunday, October 28, at Willow Haven Care Center in Zanesville following a year long battle with cancer.

She was bom June 15,1939 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Fulton S. and Anna Gonda Smedley.

Mrs. Hargrove was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, a graduate of Rosecrans, retired from Goss Supply after 30 plus years, a member of the Muskingham Chapter Ohio Society Daughters of the American Revolution as well as an associate member of Narrow Passage DAR. of Woodstock, Virginia. Life member of the Hottle Keller Memorial, Inc. of Woodstock, Va. Member and past officer of the Muskingham County & Ohio Genealogical Societies and volunteer librarian in the John Mclntire Library Genealogy Room. Past Worthy Matron of the Muskingham County #495 Order of Eastern Star, a member of the Brighton Historical ■ Society and she was for several years the Arts & Crafts chairperson of the Zane Trace Commemoration.
