The Chateauville Foundation, having had tremendous success with its first partnership with The Keyboard Trust, is excited to present another young pianist in recital at the Castleton Theatre House on May 9 at 7 p.m.
Giuseppe Albanese, bom in 1979 in Reggio Calabria, Italy, began studying the piano at age 5. He graduated from the Conservatory “G. Rossini” in Pesaro in 1996 and then attended the Imola International Piano Academy where he achieved the highest certificate of the Academy, the master title, in 2003. Since 2005, he has been a teacher of “Methodology of Music Communication” at the University of Messina. Albanese has won several top prizes at national and international competitions.
Albanese’s program will consist of Beethoven’s Sonata in F minor, Op. 57, “Appassionata”, Mendelssohn’s Sonata in B-flat major, Op. 106, Chopin’s Nocturne in B major, Op. 62, No. 1 and Polonaise-Fantasie in A-flat major. Op. 61, and Liszt’s Reminiscences de Norma.
