• The Flint Hill Post Office, Flint Hill Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company and Flint Hill United Methodist Church invite you to the Flint Hill Fire House, 6 p.m., and Sunday, May 3, from 1 -6 p.m., for “The Postmaster's Private Stamp Collection” to raise money for the “Relay for Life Team.” All proceeds will be presented at the Mother’s Day cancer walk on May 9. On display, will be framed stamp art, exotic collectables, stamp and international commemoratives, some dating back to the late 1800s. Free.

• Rain barrel workshop by the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District in Madison County, 9 a.m. to 12 noon. The barrels are $60 for one and $100 for two (this includes hardware). • Wildflower walks by avid nature conservationist and native-plant enthusiast Bruce Jones. Walk nature trails and see Wild Ginger, Hepatica, Trilliums, Lady Slipper Orchids, Crossvine, and other flowering native plants as well as native wildlife. Walk also held on May 5. Also learn about the challenges and rewards of restoring native habitat. The walks start at 2 p.m. and last 1 to 1-172 hours.
