than the $32,500 budgeted for HVAC-related expenses. For the 2004-2205 school year, we hired an experienced HVAC technician for repairs and preventive maintenance. HVAC expenditures dropped from nearly $33,000 to under $17,000 in 2004-05. When we spent less than $3,000 in 200506,1 recommended to the School Board that we reduce the budgeted amount to $17,500. The next two years, we spent under $6,000 each year.
In 2007-08 I implemented a weekly checklist to insure that HVAC repairs and preventive maintenance were completed in a timely manner. In February 2009 I

Deal offered $500 to start a fund for the schools. He asked other landowners to make a similar contribution.
