"As she gets the scientific and mathematical ideas down, the structure, then she adds the personality," ■ ; ~ Hite said. “I just wanted her to take off my Jowls. And she did, I look so much younger." Hite has years and years of experience. She was six years old when she completed her first canvass.. "And I wrote all the N’s in my name backwards," she said. "When I was a young artist I could stay up all night and paint and keep going the next day.” Then when she got a job and a family painting had to take a back seat Now, though, it’s back in the passenger’s seat next to her. She mostly uses watercdor and pastels these days to do her work in her studio at the Depot For Hite, doing art gives her warmth. ' ^ "it’s a feeling of warmth and success,” she said. "It gives you a comfort that you’re accomplishing something with your skills.” As for Moss, doing art makes her feel alive. "When I like what I'm doing I get an adrenaline high and I forget the time," Moss said. "I think art always evolves. I always want to paint loosely and more abstract, less tight” That goes the same for Hite. Hite’s had her training in renderings for interior design so she began with the idea that she needed to make a very tight replica of her subject but now she warns to be a bit more free with her "I am trying to break out of that," Hite said. “To take watercolor and loosen up,'
