Mr. and Mrs. John Early of Amissville, who have operated Earl/s Carpet Service for several years from their home, have constructed a new building to house their business. The cinderblock structure is 40x80 feet and is located on the lot adjacent to their home. The Earlys sell new rugs and carpeting, repair rugs and clean and shampoo rugs. The new headquarters will permit a larger stock of carpeting and provide more satisfactory repair and cleaning service. A grand opening is scheduled for the near future.
Four seniors of Rappahannock County High School have been recognized for academic achievement. They are Beth O’Bannon, Carter Moffett, Janet Hackley and Wayne Deal, in that order. Graduation exercises for Rappahannock County High School are scheduled for Friday, June 6, at 8 p.m., in the school auditorium.
The first community 4-H Club was organized at Sperryville last week. The following officers were elected: Charla Sisk, President; Susan Coates, Vice President; Judy Atkins, Secretary; Margaret Hicks, Treasure; Cindy Cumins, Reporter and Linda Clatterbuck, Song leader, members include Pam Deal, Ginger Scudereand Beverly Atkins. The club has chosen as their club project: The Total You! They will be studying the importance of an attractive appearance, good grooming practices and a pleasant personality.
